Welcome to Magic Forest Early Learning Centre where the magic of learning begins. We are a small boutique centre catering for only 20 children a day providing quality care and ensuring a friendly, nurturing environment for each child. Every child is our top priority.
We are located in a quiet street in Lansvale on the river. We operate for 50 weeks a year, Monday to Friday. We open from 7:30am to 5:30pm. At Magic Forest Early Learning Centre we aim to incorporate, adapt and to the best of our ability to follow the Montessori program for children aged 2 to 6 years.
Staff will adapt to the theory that Montessori believes in the innate capacity of children to do their own learning. Learning is stimulated by an inner need and carries for the child it's own motivation and rewards. The Montessori approach is reflected more in the development of qualities (independence, self confidence, self discipline) and skills (concentration, orderly work habits) than in the mastery of subject areas.
Note: we have based our program on the Montessori philosophy.
Our staff are qualified and friendly and look forward to meeting you and answering any questions you may have. Please stop by and let your child discover the magic of learning.

The staff at Magic Forest Early Learning Centre through direction will help foster each child's inner guidance for development. And help nurture inner potential. We respect that each child is unique and allow them to accomplish tasks at their own pace and level of achievement. Children are nurtured through play, social interaction and learning to meet challenges with perseverance and confidence, challenging the "I can't "attitude to the "I will try".
We acknowledge that independence and self help skills are essential in developing a confident, self actualised individual and strive to form the foundations that will nurture these attributes. Children are encouraged through trial and error and practice/repetition to learn skills that enable them. to take care of themselves and their environment.
Staff provide children with the opportunity for active play. Staff feel that outdoor play is important with children building skills in areas of social interaction, gross motor, turn taking, the experiences of imagination and the chance to be dramatic. Staff aim to encourage children to participate in quiet activities and relax time. Rest time is important for children to relax their body, mind and soul. All children have the option to sleep or to rest quietly.
The centre provides the structure of Montessori which encourages children to be and become independent and build on their self help skills and self reliance m all areas of development including language, literacy, cognitive, fine motor, and social and emotional. As much as staff encourage independence and selfhelp skills. staffwill assist with those who need assistance with toileting, sleeping, nappy change, dressing and meal time. Staff feel that self help skills are an important factor in our program and the child's development. We support and cater our program and routine to foster and support children with additional needs. Staff will work
alongside parents and if need be support and resource services to make sure we all have a knowledge and understanding of the care we are providing and available resources to support our efforts.
Staff aim to observe, document and record each child's developments through observations and evaluations on a monthly basis. We do this through visual methods using photos.
